And then at the end, when they want to make her better looking, the female asked to do this says she is going to try somthing radical but to trust her. She then takes the glasses off, lets the hair down and concludes she is done and a genius and now the main character is a hottie.
I seem to remember seeing this sort of addressed in a few movies where the "nerd" gets their glasses taken off to make them cooler. When they first lose their glasses, they squint at everything as if they cannot see. After that and for the rest of the movie, they see just fine. I suppose they could have got contacts but the next scenes usually take place right after their glasses are removed and they have no problems seeing. I just wish it were that easy.
