You don't need Apollo specifics to answer this question, it is elementary physics.

I thoroughly disagree. I reject outright the premise that the authenticity of Apollo's thermal behavior can be meaningfully discussed without knowledge of Apollo's detailed design that addressed thermal issues.

As to whether it is subject to "elementary physics," I'll have to wait until it's more clearly understood what level of knowledge is implied by that phrase.
