On August 28th we will if the sky is clear see the moon pass through Earths shadow. The moon will darken from one side and when its completely covered will appear red. Mars will not be in your field of view until about 4.30 am. and will not be as bright as Sirios...serios.. Umm.. Oh why do we bother.... Yes the closest approach of mars ever.. it will be bigger than the moon......
