A friend has the LX200GPS and I have the LX90 (non-gps) If we start setting up at the same time, I can be up and running in about 1/2 to 1/3 the time it takes his scope to level and align itself, then he usually has to do it twice. I'd say mine sets up in about 5 minutes, while the GPS version takes closer to 10 to 15.
Aside from that, the only issues I've had involve the polar wedge. I just can't seem to get the scope to understand that the wedge is there, so there is no hope for me to get it to track, or find anything at all with the wedge in place. Actually, there is another wedge related rant as well. It has to do with pointing north. On my field tripod for the ETX, there is a little traverse screw that will let you point it North, as long as you get it fairly north-ish at the start. The Tripod for the LX90 has no such traverse screw. When using the wedge, you have to align it to true north, and you have to do this by rotating the entire tripod to make the corrections. I do have an after market accessory tray on mine so there may be a way to do it with the stock configuration using the central bolt that holds the wedge in place.

A Geek will think he can use that to pick up a girl in a bar.
A Dork knows he can't pick up the girl with it, but will hang around for hours anyway, just in case she asks.
She might. You never know.
