As a point of clarification, the reason I referenced the other thread was that, despite all the well-deserved and kind comments and congratulations offered by BAUTers in this thread, it was obviously a sad thing what was subsequently going on in the other one.

The potential for meaningful contributions is not a good thing to lose, even if the loss is self-determined.
