An Early The Horse Head & Flame
Using a poor mans version of remote imaging, I set the mount and scope 15' from the window and ran a USB cable through. From this position the only good view I have is to the south, so I thought I would get in a early version of the Horse Head & Flame nebulas. I used an Orion ED80 on a Losmandy G-11 mount. The camera was a Sbig ST8-XE imaging through an Astronomics 13nm Ha filter. Skies where clear and steady, transparency was fair.
The image is ten exposures of twenty minutes each. Acquired and stacked using CCDSoft and processed using PhotoShop 7.
