unless, of course, he's the only person who isn't "in on it."

If he's a rat in a cage, then it'd be fairly easy. They know when he goes outside and looks up at the sky, because they're always watching him. They can shoot an arrow overhead (or however they simulate a satellite) at those times.

It's not really that much of a stretch to suggest that MM believes he's the only person on Earth (or one of a tiny few) who isn't in on the hoax. Lots of delusions incorporate the perceived specialness of the holder. It's basic narcissism. How many people believe themsevles to be "the chosen one" or Jesus Christ or something like that? Remember all the chemtrail posters that say, "look up in the sky! planes are spraying chemicals" as if it's so obvious, all you have to do is look up, but chemtrail believers are special because only they ever actually look up. MM's specialness is that the whole world is a vast conspiracy designed to keep him and only him in the dark.

When I was 7 or 8 I can remember briefly believing that my kind, loving parents had been replaced by these mean, evil imposters who made me do my homework.
