How come Superman's super strength and unearthly abilities are due to the fact that his adopted homeworld has a yellow sun and yet the Green Lantern can use his power ring willy-nilly despite the proximity and power of a cosmic source of yellow? And why doesn't Superman get marginally weaker around sunset?
Has DC addressed any of these burning issues in one of their issues? How?
