Right, Damsels in Distress haven't disappeared, they just complain loudly or punch out some minions before getting captured.

I showed my brother a comic I had drawn recently. The premise is that, in the Marvel Universe, Tony Stark has joined with Virgin Galactic, but these evil spies attack, and Iron Man has to save the day. I had a really great scene where one of the spies tries to catch Rutan, but he steals the guy's blaster and sticks up the spy, saying "
Never mess with a pilot." At the end, I asked my brother if he liked the real-life characters.
"Well, I didn't like how you had Burt Rutan act."
"Why?"
"Because the regular people aren't supposed to fight back. They're supposed to scream and sit there until the superheroes save them. I didn't come to see the ordinary people!"
I've been wondering about that ever since. Thoughts?
