How do the powers work? From your description, it sounds like some kind of absorbtion or generation and conversion and projection of energy. If the entire EM spectrum can be sensed (absorbed) can such a range be generated also?

As for flight, that might mean your hero can also convert energy into kinetic motion. Which means even without enhanced muscular strength, they might still be able to augment their punches or push/lift with extra force. And absorbing kinetic energy would also mean bullets and punches only increase the available energy.
