There are many scattered mini threads asking for help, I thought it is a good idea to create one where members can ask and others can lurk around and maybe guide them.

Now my question, Sometimes while I'm typing the cursor turns into a rectangle which sits "on" the characters rather than between them as it should. I don't know what causes this to happen and how to change it back. Any help please?
