My younger brother was watching some show on Cartoon Network where a kid was talking to an alien who was dating a werewolf (For real). I think it was called Out of Jimmy's Head or something like that.
Anyway, the alien says to the kid "You skipped school? Your parents are going to ground you for the next Martian year. That's 2.1 Earth years."
I had just finished writing an article about the MERs, so I knew that this was correct. How surprising!
