Default P17/Holmes and the Double Cluster in Perseus

Comet P17/Holmes is in such a nice starfield. This photo gas P17 on one side and the double cluster in Perseus on the other. Taken with a Nikon d40 with Nikkor Q 85mm f1.8 and a single 30 sec exposure at iso1600. Piggyback on a Los Mandy GM100 tripod.

The interesting aspect of this picture are the colors. There are blue, white, yellow, green and red stars in the picture. The bright bue ones has a halo. Is this an artifact of a lack of blue color correction of the lens?

Enjoy the view from my digitally enhanced backyard. The field of view is 11x16 degree.
