What radiation? How has the moon protected us? Given its distance, motion and size, it certainly couldn't act like a shield against anything. All in all, this sounds like very bad astronomy.

Almost every religion has made astronomy based predictions about events that are to take place around 2012? I wasn't aware of that. Please give us the specifics behind these scientific predictions.
