There's a point to my sarcasm if you give it some thought.
I'm illustrating my ideas that there is an overwhelming amount of science to be had and things to consider before thinking about an intelligent first contact.
To add to that... I'm sure an ETI first contact is not going to be out of the blue, and we are going to have a lot of learning before physical contact actually happens. This will lead our direction of what we should do.
