Going, going, ... not gone yet!

You did a good job picking up the color differences between the northern and southern hemishere's. I hadn't noticed that visually but it's strong on the Cassini images. I need to look again for that. Never seem to remember to.

Are the disk colors that more intense this year or just a processing difference between the two years? I didn't think I saw a difference but memory over the months can be deceiving.

I wonder how many here have seen Saturn with no ring visible?

At Hyde Memorial Observatory, every time that happens, you warn the public they won't see the ring but look for its shadow. Nearly every one looks and says something like, "Sure this is Saturn, I don't see the rings?"
