Evolution has no goal, except to adapt to the environment. Certainly there is no endpoint to evolution. The fact that humans exist today is not a given, but pure chance.
Desire? Ok, so when the universe was created, one of the (as yet undiscovered) fundamental forces was Desire and this force organized the matter and energy around it to create humans? Yup, sounds plausible!

This thread and
"Intelligent life on other distant worlds" are a study on how a member of an intelligent species can come to have such a twisted and warped world view. I would like to know what led to this sad situation. Perhaps if you answered some of my previous questions, we might have more of a clue.
