Er, no. A superconducting loop would have to be charged up before it can be used. And as was pointed out above, it's really no greater protection than a mass shield.

Also, as far as having a special shielded room to go to, thats fine, but not for a permanent type habitat, you can't shove a hydroponic farm into that type of room, nor for that matter could you have one side of the farm exposed to the sunlight when it's not critical.

Why a single room? Shield the whole habitat, that way the farms are included.
And yes, by moving reflectors around you can vary the sunlight exposure.
