That's pretty amazing. Sad to think what that musical mind might have accomplished had it been afforded the wisdom of a mature age. We might have ended up with something akin to the orchestral equivalent of Turlough O'Carolan's final "Farewell to Music" (O'Carolan was blind, so never wrote down anything, playing entirely from memory and creativity). Non-representational inroads into these achievements would seem to be lacking something fairly fundamental, sort of the reduction of classical music to an elaborate "bee dance".
