Default Intro...

Hi all,

I started with astronomy when I first gazed the heavens. It was a view that demanded questions. Questions that hurt my brain after too much thought. The first obvious question was, "How am I connected?"

Occular astronomy started with the purchase of my first refractor telescope in 75' and views of the moon. First I was blown away by all the craters, but I was really excited by the movement of the moon. I had to keep up with it. The motions of the universe hit home that day! That telescope failed soon after in 76'. My first serious scope was purchased in 2003, a Meade ETX-90EC. Now I have a Meade 8" LX200 GPS UHTC, Orion 80ED refractor, Orion SVP mount, 25" Obsession truss dob, #1754 AN/SC. I am currently thinking seriously thinking about a PST.

Grew up in Texas, (the milky way was stunning in my childhood, now long gone at home) joined the U.S. Coast Guard and after 20 years retired to Southern Maryland where I have worked as a "Facility Manager" for the last 10 years at Historic St. Mary's City Museum, Maryland's first Capital.

Thanks for viewing,

David Robinson
