20 Questions: What's the celestial object that I have in mind?
1. Is it bigger than an astronomical "breadbox", say 1 lyr in diameter? No.
2. Is it located within the Milky Way Galaxy? Yes.
3. Is it smaller than a planet? No.
4. Is it less dense than a typical star? I would assume so.
5. Is it self illuminating? In a manner of speaking, yes.
6. Are its EM emissions mainly outside the visible band? Yes, I believe so.
7. Is it nebular? Not exactly.
8. Is it smaller than the Sun in diameter? No.
9. Is it part of a star? I suppose one could make that case.
10 - is this a "system" of sorts comprising more than one part?
