I pulled pranks similar to this when I was a boy in the 1960s.
We strung black thread between trees and hung aluminum pie pans on them.
People would stop their cars to look at these UFOs.
This kind of thing has been going on as long as there have been human beings.
Hawking is right to discount UFO reports without a hard burden of proof.
