It's not the general claim the world will end. We know it will, in 5+ billion years when the sun expands and sets the Earth on Deep Fry. It's claims which are wildly and provably wrong which we laugh at.

im not just talking about planet x.

But we are. "Planet X" is a space-related EOTW (end of the world) claim, and a conspiracy claim to boot, since so many PX proponents claim The Gubmint is covering it up.

im saying scientists are wrong every day.they are about as usefull as a chocolate fireplace.ie vitamins help cancer,vitamins cause cancer,8 glasses of water a day are good for you,now they do nothing for you,its all claptrap.

I presume, since scientists "are about as usefull[sic] as a chocolate fireplace", that you'll immediately stop posting on this bulletin board and turn your computer off. Because scientists made your computer possible, made the Internet possible, and made the electricity that runs it all possible. (Don't forget to turn off your electric lights and air conditioner while you're at it.) You could pass the time by talking to your friends - no cell phone, though, that was made possible by science too.

How are you feeling today? Good? Didn't die of a minor infection? Didn't die from smallpox or polio as a kid? Scientists did that. Do you wear glasses or contacts? Thank science for correcting your vision so you can read this.

Get the idea? Yes, science doesn't progress in a linear fashion, and the human body is very complex and we're still figuring out how it all works - just like the Universe, and funadmental particles - but to say "its [sic] all claptrap" shows that you really haven't thought about this at all.

the truth is that(and my main point)the planet could go tommorow and no one will ever stop that happening or predict it.

Actually, we could predict something like a brown dwarf heading our way, and we could predict it ahead of time. Some catastrophes you can see coming. The reason we don't see "Planet X" coming to beat us all up in 2012 is because it's not there, and given the claims made for it, we can prove it's not there - and, in fact, have done so on this board.

That is not the same as proving there's no conceivable disaster going to happen in the unquantifiable future. But then again, no one here is claiming that.

i dont beleive anything as yet but would not discount the earth dying very soon.whether man made or not.the earth is dying.and we will pay for it some day.

This is meaningless unless you make a specific claim. Even if the direst predictions for, say, global warming are realized, that does not mean the Earth is "dying" - far from it.

I graduated from high school, and college, a long time ago. Frankly, you sound like you have a long way to go until you graduate high school. I'm not saying that to be rude - but if you want anyone to take you seriously, you need to learn something about the subject, organize your thoughts, and make specific claims, not just angrily attack strawmen with bad grammar and insults.
