Not so far fetched. I know people that drive to a big outlet center in Sharon PA, 2 hours away to save money on clothes.
"Look I got 50% off this $20 sweater".
There are plenty of outlet stores much closer, but
"they don't have the selection".
If they would just admit that it costs them money to shop...
