But this came under the heading "theory of everything". If that is just slang for "unification of gravity and the other forces", I can see how it might be attainable. If taken more literally, as an actual theory of everything, that's the part I suspect is impossible. Not just because it's difficult to the point of impossibility, but more because it was never the point of science in the first place. The only thing that is everything is everything, and if there was a
theory that encompassed everything, then the universe is awfully redundant.
