I'd expect him to get revenue. Money. Income. Better than the ad money he got from his own efforts. He's bringing eyeballs and even respectability to Discover. They should reward him.

I'd expect him to get some support. Maybe. I don't know how these things work, but I'd suspect it to be Discover-run servers now, and maybe the bloggers get some infrastructure assistance, and can worry more about writing and less about tweaking the software and responding to reader problems.

And, I speculate. For sure. I don't know. I expect he made a business decision to go with the new home, for business reasons.
