I remember speculating with some friends at college in 1986 that it just might be possible to track Comet Halley all the way out with the new CCD camers and telescopes coming online (we knew about HST being put up) and thought it would be a really cool thing to do. Of course, we couldn't come up with a really good science justification, other than it would be cool.

Let's see if they can get it when its all the way out there!
