This is a recurring "problem" everytime qm is invoked. I´m not saying that Jetlack is into that, nor intending to answer his question, but I´d like to point out that consciousness itself is a macro entity. It envolves a big brain with an awful lot of particle states to be modified. And those particles states won´t be modified at the same time, because the information takes time to cascade on to every single particle in every single neuron. Hence you can´t have reality at a single frame [or 'shot', or 'look', whatever]. That´s why I don´t buy the idea that reality needs a conscious observer.
