When I was running for town council in 2005, a supporter of my opponents came up to my booth at a town street fair and started arguing that I was not telling "the truth" about the administration's redevelopment plan. Right there at the fair, with people standing around the booth, I responded, "what is the truth?"

Luckily, one of our supporters took up the conversation, so I could get on with meeting more people, which this person was obviously trying to prevent. Still, in retrospect it was a humorous campaign experience.
