Mahesh, I think you've misread
MAPNUT's post.
MAPNUT was pointing out that when an American writer marks British English spellings with "[sic]", readers are likely to assume that the writer is ignorant of standard British spelling.
The same thing is liable to happen if a British writer marks up US English spellings.
