Sorry to be a spoil sport, but this is all very unconvincing.
First, why should a geologist make scientific conclusion not based on his field of expertise? Dr. Morris states that because of the figurine he concedes that the moon must have had an atmosphere. It's not his geological expertise that led him to this conclusion! Most fishy!
Second, there is not much iron on the moon and considering the abundance of oxygen I'd guess there are better suited metals for posteriority.
Third, none of the moon missions went to the highlands.
