To teach it can't be done! Would you rather have someone repeat a mantra at them "you can't prove a negative.. you can't prove a negative.." hoping they'll remember? Or come at them with boring logic lessons to explain it? Or have them try, and find out for themselves what the problem with the proposition is? And
then explaining why?
