Okay, I think I get it now--you were commenting that an earlier poster missed the point that it was supposed to be a misquote. I'll admit that I didn't pick up the earlier poster's mistake when I read the post I was quoting--guess I got too excited about having an opportunity to knock a dreadful Sherlock Holmes adaptation. ops: However, your point would have been clearer if you'd followed up to the earlier post, and not to mine.

As a side note, I'm not sure that this qualifies as a misquote--I think it qualifies as a completely bogus quote, as SH never says anything remotely like it in any of Doyle's stories.
