Great-great (some factor) grandfather Thomas Taylor was the head of one of the eight families that founded Danbury, CT.
Growing up 35 miles NE of NYC plus living/going to school in the city, the list of famous people I know/knew is too long to list. One anecdote I get a kick out of remembering involved a girlfriend from Ridgefield who had her car's flat tire fixed by Douglas Edwards. Then there were the opportunties for chats with Jack Paar and his entourage at the West Redding Store, Paul Newman stopping and talking while tooling around in his Porsche-powered VW, sitting near Leonard Bernstein while he chain-smoked through a concert (he looked like he wanted to be conducting, not listening).
