Yes I am. This is because in the grand scheme of things the moon is extremely close to the earth.
You assume to much, I think. Objects have come within the Moon's orbit and not hit the Earth. In fact, I can think of a recent close encounter with such an object. It easy to imagine many of those 1,700 lunar impacts posing no danger to the Earth.
