Having been raised in the Deep South and having kin there, I'll try not to take that personally. :P

Better a sitcom about Southerners than yet another show set in NY or LA that's woefully out of touch with life in the rest of the country...or life in those places for that matter. Ah well, they'll probably screw this one up just as badly.
