My reasoning is that I've seen a number of HB websites that state that Neil is in a certain mental "state" because he lied about landing on the Moon. I read stuff like that and it makes me mad. I didn't mean to take it out on you. ops:

That's quite all right, I understand exactly what you mean.
Quite on the contrary, all my life I've thought that if Neil Armstrong did in fact have a mental illness, (which I don't even have enough information to say if he does or does not) that would be because perhaps the whole "giant leap for mankind" thing was too much to handle. But then again I never trusted the speculation around it and decided to research it, because 1) there may not be any "illness" 2) if there is, it isn't necessary moon-related. Some people just latch on to any piece of juicy gossip they can lay their slimy hands on, blowing it out of proportion and twisting it past all recognition. So knowing that, I doubted my above-metioned unreliable sources of information and wanted to find a credible source with the real story and solid facts about a possible mental illness or a lack of thereof. I've wondered about it, my fiance has wondered about it, my sister has wondered about it, it came up in a group conversation one evening, and a couple of days later I had an extra day off, so I decided to go ahead and research it. Found this disscussion board, liked it, joined the discussion.
