If youŽre atop the atmosphere, in space, you would see a black strip eclipsing the Sun and the blackness of space all around. As you dive into the atmosphere youŽll have an obscured strip in the zenith, clearing out as you look to the horizon. It would be pretty gloomy in the shadow of the rings. That kind of eclipse occurs only twice in a Saturnian year (at the equinoxes), as the sun crosses the equator.
