As for the article ... I tend to stop reading or take an article with a very, VERY big grain of salt when it uses the old "They laughed at Einstein" bit. Yes, scientists are human (shock!) and yes, it did take time for plate tectonics to be established, but it did happen.

The "georeactor" concept as described here is not mainstream, and has not been "found" - that is, it is not generally agreed that there is a nuclear reactor operating at the center of the earth. As I mentioned
here natural reactors did exist when the ratio of U235 was far higher, but are not active today.
