I never realized WMP couldn't be uninstalled. I'll have to check my own PC on WMP version. I don't use WMP much. And as I don't use system restore points, it is very well possible I can't elegantly uninstall it. :roll:
Wasn't trying to argue with you, perhaps that sheds some light on our complaints.
It sheds quite some watts indeed. I thought the add/remove function uninstalled the WMP itself, but it merely is a long way for removing only the start menu link.

It seems that there's no way to uninstall if you don't have a system restore point. WMP doesn't harm me, so it isn't really a problem to me. Since XP I lost control of my HD anyway :-? :roll:
