really I was superstious!
turning from the porthole {slowly}
I could almost feel that FOG
holding the TRANCE over the wheel house crew
Slowly and very very deliberetly
I lifted one leg
& then the other
4: They were in a strange trance like state
moving now back tward CIC
the Captain was off to my Right
Transfixed as was everone else
all looking far beyoud {into that fog}
Slowly at first I raised my right arm
and brought my fingers to a salute
{relly ME?}
Much to my amazment the Transe seamed to
leave th Captain
& he returned My salute
as he finished he said
"Mark youe helm"
and that broke Big'uns transe who was at the wheel
looking away from the fog out the portholes he replied
AND STUDIED THE MAGNET COMPAS
