Understanding of course, that in 850,000 (give or take a few thousand) years the world won't be as bmpbmp "knows it" irregardless of the supernova.
That is a LOOONG ways away. You'd probably be able to detect the particle stream with good instruments, but that stuff isn't being focused in our direction. As a practical matter, it would be completely irrelevent. |
