I have to say I was kind of disappointed in how it was handled. Several of the HB claims were described, but none were refuted. The only counterclaim was basically "these people are nuts." I'm not blaming the BA - he had almost no time to say anything.

"Dr. Plait, please explain in 12 seconds why the hoax believers are in error."
"Well, we can start with the flag waving. You see, whenever the flag is supposedly waving in the breeze-"
"Sorry, Dr. Plait, that's all the time we have. But thanks for joining us."

It wasn't much like that, but it might as well have been.
