While i highly disagree with the partisanship of it (and its undenyable). It does make alot of sense. On one hand from what i hear several of the bases being permanently closed are already on their way out and just need the final paperwork to close it.
On the other hand Its not some dastardly plan, its just politicians being politicians. You don't want to take away from your own state, or your parties state. So take it away from the other guy. While not good, it does make sense in pure politics.


But remember this still has to go through congress and several boards of review. There is little chance this list will even resemble the final list.
