Further understanding of the sumerians - who they were, where they came from, who their "anunnaki" were, etc. - is utterly fascinating to me. So many of their influences remain extant in today's world, whether in astronomy, religion, music, art, literature or what have you, and IMHO, you must know where you've been to know where you're going.
