It's typical conspiracy-buff thinking.
NASA discovers a large object due to hit the Earth. NASA realizes that this knowledge, if made public, would start a worldwide panic. So, NASA releases the information only to the National Security Agency (NSA), who engage in a lockdown campaign to ensure that the knowledge remains secret. Just like in Deep Impact.
And, of course, no other nations on Earth could possibly be tracking this object. :roll: |
That's a good point. The guy's story is probably just that- a story. I figured the NSA thing had a conspiracy ring to it, but just wanted to run it by someone.
