While collecting water in the boredom bucket at home watching repeats on ukhistory of Jeremy Clarkson’s attempt to sway the public to vote for brunel to be the greatest Briton of all time, a thought sprang to my beer flooded mind.
Who is the greatest person to ever walk this earth?
Unlike the greatest Briton, the world’s greatest person has to have done something so magnificent that he/she changed the world and everyone in it. Sure Churchill was a great man, and done our country proud, as did brunel (and can you believe it) Dianna, the runners up, but did they ever change the world? Churchill brought us to victory, in the air, sea and beaches but they didn’t do many favours for Germany! Lincoln (who I believe won a similar context in America) hasn’t done much in the way of improving my life.
So who’s it going to be? my vote would go to:

Martin Luther King- he changed our way of life forever by enforcing the rights every man, women and child on this planet should have and in the end died for his beliefs.
or
Newton- as an astronomical site, and a person who’s out with the scope every night, I personally believe he has done a lot for me. Knowing the physics behind what I’m seeing helps me sleep a lot better at night, but saying that probably hasn’t changed everyone’s world.
 :P B) <_<   h34r:
