I am renting a 12 passenger vehicle, with reasonable cargo space and a custom Mars landing shuttle. We will be the first people on Mars [If we can beat Amundsen there].

Schedule is this:
December 6, we meet at the base of the space elevator.
December 7, we have our last off-ship dinner at the Beni Hana on Platform D [100,000 miles up], and then blast off.
If all goes well, we should arrive Decenber 21st.
Get your sight-seeing done, we depart again on January 4, if possible.
Back to platform D by Jan 18 for some BarBQ, and then home.

If you plan to come along, post what you're bringing with you before 00:00 6 Dec 2004.
If we have less then eight by that date, the trip will have been proven a bad idea.

I need a volunteer to take care of assigning duties. Janice, are you up for that?
