We've all heard of that joke about the NASA acronym. I trust I don't need to repeat it.
I fail to see what's so funny. I heard it before STS 107 and I didn't laugh then. It's genuinly not funny and yet at school everyone things it's the funniest thing since Paul Merton.
In Britain, we've never had an aversion to tasteless jokes, but since this one isn't funny, it's not a tasteless joke but merely tasteless.
It's also not new, which makes it a bit insulting in itself. Isn't this mission worthy of its own cruel jokes. And it's not factually accurate. The crew consisted of six astronauts and a payload specialist.
