koloss, I've got a 12 inch Meade sct. Although one person can transport and set it up, that person better be in good shape. It realy takes two at least because it's heavy. I've no complaints with it at all. The learning curve takes time but once mastered the scope will do what Meade claims it will. I purchased it a little after the Hale-Bopp passby so it's fairly old. Yet everything still works fine. I treat it like a baby. Skyywatcher
